“Even Watermelons Have Meaning”
Published April 5, 2025 in the My The Best! series

In this feature by Japanese photojournalist Natsuki Yasuda, FOVERO’s watermelon hoodie was highlighted as a powerful symbol of Palestinian resistance and culture.

Yasuda writes about how the colors of the design represent the Palestinian flag, and how FOVERO — created by young Palestinians — continues to express their identity through fashion, even under occupation.

“This design caught my eye in the streets of the West Bank — stylish, meaningful, and full of spirit.”
